Exploration Committee:
1-Objectives:
1-1- Setting of an organization for the purpose of harmonization and guidance of the exploration activities in the country.
1-2- Arranging training courses and technical conventions aimed at advancement of exploration knowledge and recognition of its importance according to international standards thus strengthening the position of the Private Sector in exploration activities.
1-3- Collaboration in formulation of exploration strategy of the country and proposals for reforming the Mining Act and the related regulations of the country.

2-Members:
2-1-All the members of Iran Mine House involved in exploration activity including private sector mining engineers, mining consultants and geologists active in the fields of drilling, geophysics, geochemistry and economic geology.
2-2-Government employees engaged in exploration, faculty members of the universities and educational institutes in mining or oil exploration.

3-Structure:
3-1-General Assembly of the Exploration Committee which is the supreme decision-making body in exploration-related affairs.
3-2-General Assembly will convene 3 to 4 times a year. The Annual General Meeting will be held through formal invitation by the Board of Directors of Iran Mine House (sent at least a fortnight in advance). If the Meeting does not attain a majority (50 percent of members plus 1) it will be adjourned. The next meeting has to be held within a one month time period and will convene with any number of members.

The executive panel of the Exploration Committee will meet twice a month at the Iran Mine House headquarters to discuss various issues of exploration sector from the point of view of rules and regulations governing the exploration operations. Till date, three countrywide congregations have been organized with the collaboration of the exploration department of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and Geological Survey of Iran (GSI) in which the speakers have delivered talks on challenges and constraints of exploration
